5 years before the events of the manga, a girl named Saori Hyuta murdered 50 innocent people. The villagers of Ibaruka say she was possessed by a demon and that it was her time to die. Aikawa, her sister, was chosen to kill her but Aikawa couldn't bring herself to do it. After exiling Saori, Aikawa wept thinking of how she tortured her friends: Izanami, Cheiko, and Kirika. Although this caused them to be better friends. This was named The Ibaruka Disaster. 5 years after this (the times of the manga) Takashi and Daisuke Reto moved in with their grandmother since their parents died in an accident. All of a sudden rumors from neighboring towns go about saying a Hyuta girl is causing trouble. This Hyuta girl is Saori and she won't stop until she gets the revenge she desires.
